MATTHEW WALKER COMPREHENSIVE HEALTH CENTER, INC.
Their mission is to provide quality healthcare services and health education and to promote wellness.
The new health center provideS primary medical care and dental care services to low-income, uninsured and medically underserved people living in Clarksville and Montgomery County.
“Matthew Walker Comprehensive Health Center has served the Middle Tennessee community since 1968 from its facility in Nashville. One of our strategic goals has been to bring our services into surrounding communities,” said Jeffrey McKissack, CEO of MWCHC. “Because of this grant, we can now offer services in Clarksville to the people of Montgomery County. We look forward to working with city and county officials as we establish this new community health center.”
Matthew Walker Comprehensive Health Center of Clarksville is located at 230 Dover Road in Clarksville. The new health center features 4,800 square feet of space that includes ten (10) medical examination rooms and four (4) dental examination rooms. Moody/Nolan is the architect for the project. Radcliff Rhodes Corporation is the general contractor.
Vianca Reed, Director of the Montgomery County Health Department, commented, “The establishment of a 330 clinic (federally qualified health center) in Montgomery County will strengthen the system of care for the uninsured population. We are excited and eager to partner with Matthew Walker to ensure that quality health care is accessible to everyone in our community.”

POLICE FOOTBALL LEAGUE
The Clarksville Police Department wants to keep the kids off the streets by placing a ball in their hands. They are sponsoring a junior pro football team, the Steelers, and have sponsored about 30 children to join the league.
Led by Coach Ronald Parrish, a CPD detective, they have been working on conditioning for the upcoming games. The 30 sponsored children, ages 9 to 13, are dispersed throughout the league.
